Kashgar win FIBA Asia Champions Cup

CHENZHOU-HUNAN, China, Oct 16, 2016: The FIBA Asia Champions Cup 2016 crowned a new champion today with China Kashgar winning the title at the expense of Lebanon’s Al Riyadi, 96-88. Joining the two clubs on the podium were Petrochimi of Iran, who defeated Al Ahli of UAE, 100-74, to finish at the third place (Kashgar win FIBA Asia Champions Cup).

Import Andray Blatche led China Kashgar with 22 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists 1 block. He was supported by fellow import Darius Adams, who scored 19 points. Dewarwick Spencer, who was named Most Valuable Player of the tournament, paced Al Riyadi with 19 points of his own.

Rounding off the top five teams of the competitoin were Al Shorta of Iraq, who turned back Pauian of Chinese Taipei in their classification game, 81-72.

In the final day’s other classification game, Qatar’s Al Rayyan defeated Kazakhstan’s Barsy Atyrau, 84-78, to take seventh place. —- FIBA
